Welcome!

As a Southwest Virginia native, I was raised with the belief that every person is equipped with the inner wisdom and strength to heal themselves, I merely have the honor of being with you as you find that wisdom and strength to become your truest self.

I am a pre-licensed professional, under the supervision of Tamara Pincus with the Pincus Center and working under Lori Long at Wings of Warriors.

My approach to therapy

I desire to be with you in your aching dilemmas ultimately inviting you to a space of freedom, hope and expansive love. My therapeutic approach includes person-centered, solution-focused, and strengths-based therapy, with a particular emphasis on mindfulness. (Ohh, and I love to throw in some enneagram fun along the way.) Through calm observation and awareness, I strive to cultivate a therapeutic space that is inclusive, curious, compassionate and healing.

I work with people experiencing

  • dissatisfaction in marriage/relationships
  • betrayal
  • challenging life transitions (menopause, parenting, moving, new career, retirement, divorce, empty nesting, etc.)
  • mismatched libidos
  • out of control sexual behaviors
  • pelvic pain & erectile issues
  • exploration of gender and sexuality
(I especially enjoy working with parents of children who are questioning parts of their sexuality.)
  • sexual struggles due to medical concerns or religious trauma

I am eager to help you create a more satisfying and fulfilling marriage and life. I welcome people in all relationship dynamics and identities as we work together to deepen connection, cultivate delight and strengthen dynamic empathy and understanding.

“The hope is to understand, heal, and transform the world and oneself.”

-Loretta Pyles, Healing Justice

I transitioned into couples and sex therapy from a career in nonprofit and business development. Born and raised in Southwest Virginia, Christianity is my mother tongue. As a parent, wife, and spiritual explorer, it is a great joy to be with you on your journey. Read full bio here.

Fees & Insurance

I am currently out-of-network with insurance. Often times managed care companies deem couples and sex therapy “unnecessary.” Operating outside the insurance system allows me to work directly with you to determine your therapy goals, processes, and rhythms. This freedom honors your confidentiality and unique needs.

In addition to credit card, cash and check payments, I accept HSA payments and provide superbills to claim out-of-network insurance reimbursement. Depending on your current health insurance plan, it is possible for therapy services to be covered in full or in part via reimbursement. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

In order to keep therapy accessible to all, I have a sliding scale payment option for those in need. All sliding scale slots are currently full. If interested in reduced fee therapy, please reach out to be added to the waitlist.
